Follow My Astrolabe is made by Studio New Moon, a very small studio. There's no support queue and no bot — mail goes to a person, and we answer as quickly as we can.

If something went wrong, telling us which page you were on, your device and browser, and what you were doing makes a real difference in how fast we can fix it.

Print Orders

Chart to Canvas prints are paid for through Stripe, then produced and shipped by our print partner. Prints ship to addresses in the United States.

Following your order

We email you as your print moves through production and shipping, at the address you gave at checkout.

If something's wrong

If an order hasn't arrived, arrived damaged, or looks wrong, email us with the email address you ordered with and roughly when you placed the order, and we'll chase it down.

Refunds

Prints are sold by us, not through an app store, so refunds come from us rather than from Apple. Email us about any order and we'll sort it out with you directly.

Casting a Chart

Casting a chart is free, with no account and no sign-up. The chart is worked out in your own browser, and nothing you type is sent anywhere.

Finding your birthplace

Start typing the town or city where you were born and choose it from the list; that fills in its coordinates and time zone for you. The list covers places with about a thousand people or more. If your town is too small to be listed, type its latitude and longitude instead, and choose its time zone yourself. South and west are negative.

Keeping it on your phone

On an iPhone, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, use Install when your browser offers it. It then opens like an app, and it works without a signal.

Your Data

There are no accounts, so there's nothing for us to look up on your behalf — and nothing for us to lose. Charts you save on the site are kept in that browser on that device only: they don't follow you to another device, and clearing the site's data from your browser deletes them. The iPhone App

The Follow My Astrolabe iPhone and iPad app isn't available on the App Store. If you're testing it through TestFlight, this is for you.

Subscriptions while testing

Purchases made in a TestFlight build are never charged. If you've subscribed before, on a new phone or after reinstalling, open Settings inside the app and tap Restore Purchases.

The Sky view

Sky uses your device's compass, motion sensors, and location to work out which part of the sky you're holding it up to. If you'd rather not grant those permissions, the app falls back to a slider you can move by hand — nothing is locked behind saying yes. Your location is used on the device and is never sent to us.

Your data in the app

Your birth details, your chart, and any photo you add stay on your device, and deleting the app removes what it stored. The envelope button inside the app writes to the same address as above.

Requirements

The website works in any current browser, on a phone, a tablet, or a computer, including Android phones. The iPhone app needs iOS 18 or later.
